ペット
We were talking about ペット in class a while ago so I thought I would talk about my plethora of strange pets.
His favorite things to do include: ねます、たべます(he loves crickets and worms)、そしてlounging around for hours. He's a pretty awesome とかげ。

Radio Show
So I have a radio show on WVFI that plays every にちよび at ごぜん じゅういちじ to にじ. If you like to stay up late on Sundays you should listen to it! It's called Wasted Space and you can listen to it here (facebook group). I usually play different things every week (this Sunday I am considering playing some bollywood music). If anyone is interested I might do a j-rock or j-pop show...

...And I have no idea how to write my name in katakana.
The song I'd like to introduce is called Hiro no Tsuki, or (I think?) It's from Outlaw Star, an anime I've never watched myself but I'd like to someday.

Have any of you heard of Do As Infinity?
Summer Days:

(Music video about chess = awesome?)
On a side note, does anyone want to go see Departures at DPAC? It looks interesting.

Let me just say I am very excited to take this class! I have been interested in japanese culture ever since I joined anime club in high school and saw all the classics (such as Excel Saga, Gurren Laggen, Cromartie High School, etc). I used to listen to a lot of J-Pop and I think it would be very beneficial for me to actually learn how to say the lyrics, as opposed to babbling random syllables and having people give me strange looks.
I am a little nervous because I know this class will be challenging to take on top of my physics classes, but I'll do my best and I'm confident that I can learn. My dream is one day to visit Japan and this is an important step towards my goal. So I guess that's it! I need to study more hiragana...
