こんばんわ!

Let me just say I am very excited to take this class! I have been interested in japanese culture ever since I joined anime club in high school and saw all the classics (such as Excel Saga, Gurren Laggen, Cromartie High School, etc). I used to listen to a lot of J-Pop and I think it would be very beneficial for me to actually learn how to say the lyrics, as opposed to babbling random syllables and having people give me strange looks.
I am a little nervous because I know this class will be challenging to take on top of my physics classes, but I'll do my best and I'm confident that I can learn. My dream is one day to visit Japan and this is an important step towards my goal. So I guess that's it! I need to study more hiragana...

  1. I LOVE J-POP! What singers/bands did you listen to? One of my best friends in high school started our school's anime club, and they did a lot like cosplaying, going to anime conventions, and other fun stuff. :D

  2. I wish I would have had an anime club in high school that sounds like a lot of fun. I'd be interested to hear of any anime you would recommend in particular, I've been wanting to start watching a new series.

  3. It's hard to say what my favorite FF is. It used to be IX, but they're all so good it's hard to pick xD VII is definitely a classic, and I'm playing through VIII again right now (I'd forgotten how much I liked this one). X offers a lot more in the way of how you can form your party, and I also liked that it was impossible to miss anything :D So my favorite is probably either VII or X, but it's close.
I'm pretty decent at DDR (I can beat 9 foot songs, but I've never been able to beat any 10 foot ones... except Sakura on StepMania, which was pretty easy). I have a few games and pads in my room, so if you ever feel like playing, let me know :D
